I am from the white sand,
the jasmines.

I am from the mate drinkers and dog lovers,
from Daniel and Danilo and Daniela.
I am from the trash talkers and the sarcastic.
From tough luck and no cigars.

I am from the Virgin MAry.
I'm from the Charrua,
tortilla and rice.
From the baby's first words,
the azul,
and the construction workers.
I am from the Hand in the Sand.
